Here are a couple images of a Sandpiper I spent 2 hours with last fall. Not the easiest subjects to follow while laying in a wet field but when they are cooperative it can be worthwhile.

Thank you, Bunny-Jean. Yes, thankfully it WAS a warm day. When i find a cooperative subject I tend to stay with it as long as possible, as long as I am not endangering it. At one point the bird came too close to focus on.
Nice pics of the little shore bird in a wonderful setting with interesting perspective!

Thank you. I use a cable release most of the time to avoid camera shake.
