My name is Sagar. I am interested in constructing a web site and posting my photographs on line and sell them
Can I do this by myself or through a professional. I also take it that the photgraphs need to water marked, so someone else cannot steal them

Go to http://www.phototips.biz/ and there is a 20% first year discount. While you're there... there is a lot of info re:Smugmug and using it...look for it.
Do your own with lots of help and standard templates available from the Smugmug forums or look at the custom templates available from Phototips for $300.

I sell on Smugmug.com and have a $40. a year account. Water marks go to youtube.com and put what you want in the search.
With smugmug you can put a lock on you pictures if you want or not. I put my pictures on there to sell to my customers. If you go to my account you can see some with a lock and some not (www.snapshots2010.com) also I have 10 domains pointed to it also. Just keep every thing short and sweet it work better. Good luck and make it fun not a job. Get your domain at godaddy.com it the best to work with.

if i understand he would like to create a website.. so for that you will need to get a web space with godaddy or any other web hoster, then you can install wordpress or joomla it's the easy ones to use, add a theme/template related to your fiels, you can find some here :
