Sidney bridge climb shoot

I see a lot of requests from people traveling places and wondering what to shoot. Being a pro active kind of guy I'm giving out this future advice. If you are going to Sidney Australia sign up ahead of your trip to do the Sidney harbor bridge climb. A few years ago I was there but unable to schedule it. I will always regret missing a fantastic experience and I'm sure many great pix.

Definately take the trip up and over the bridge. But don't plan on taking a camera. Not allowed. Nothing that can fall onto the bridge or into the water below. In fact you have to wear an overall that zips up the back. No pockets. They will take a picture of you at the top - which you can purchase. Fun, but unfortunately not the photo op you'd like.

I'm not all that certain that you were there as you don't appear to know how to spell Sydney. After all the publicity that the Sydney Olympics received,I would imagine that most people at least know how to spell its name.

Come on Russ, cut the OP a break. Some of us have a hard time with spelling. And because Dano didn't spell 'definitely' right, was he definitely not there?

BTW, Dano is completely correct--loved the climb!

Good advice. We planned a trip to London years ago and wanted to ride the London Eye. We heard how important it was to sign up ahead of time, so we did. When we got there, it was almost empty. :D You never know.

Dano, great!
Are the overalls white with really long sleeves that wrap around a couple of times and tie off in the back?!?!
That must be a really sexy pic, in a white straight-jacket !!!

Hey SS, it's really quite attractive! LOL

The picture of me has the Opera House over my right shoulder with this 'Flash Gordon' jumpsuit look.

I was there. Sorry about the typo. It was probably due to my scleroderma symptoms. At one time I could type 60 words a minute. Now I need to peck and its still hard to hit the right keys. I now have some problems holding a knife, fork, pen or even my camera.
Still that's my problem, yours seems be the need to pick on someone over something minor. I hope you take a long look at your self and ask why you had to make that reply.

Wow! Just Googled it and found THIS LINK!
Pretty cool!
.....would one be better off with a "bridge camera" for this adventure?
Also from the site: "You cannot take your own camera equipment up, which is fair enough.
The motorists below really don’t want anyone slipping and dropping their camera gear onto their windshield."

Very good recommendation, I live and work in Sydney.
Have done the Harbour Bridge Climbs 3 times over.
It's a Sydney icon, and I truly recommend it.
Yes, you get geared up and no cameras allowed for fear of dropping it far below on passing traffic.
It's a costly ticket to climb the Bridge, but certainly worth every $ spent.
And you get a portfolio of photos shot at different intervals on the bridge climb.
I sincerely tell all visitors to take this experience, before some fruit loop decides to do something unfriendly up there and they close the bridge climb for good. Happy climbing.
BTW you cannot bungee jump off the bridge - that only happens in New Zealand aka middle earth.

Why so snarky? The fact is that no cameras are allowed on the bridge. Your remark is totally uncalled for.

In my opinion the OP showed total disrupt for Sydney by not spelling the its name correctly. It's a very common city and well known. His question had nothing to do with carrying cameras up onto the bridge. Other posters introduced that item into the thread. How would you guys over in the Sates react if I spelt New York as New Yuk, the same I guess.

That's rich, criticizing the spelling of the OP. Grab a dictionary and learn the difference between spelt and spelled. Your use of the word disrupt perhaps is an auto spell correct boo boo, or nor. Did you meant to write the word disrespect?
