Due to a couple of requests, here is the Lord Nelson Victory Tug in all it's glory.

A salon with full kitchen sits on the starboard side with fridge and small freezer, 4 burner stove, microwave and oven. The salon sleeps 2 on a pull out couch. Down the stairs is a stateroom for 2 additional sleepers, a full toilet and separate shower. When you pull open the door to the engine room, it doubles as a dry food holder with about 5 shelves. Galley has cupboards. Up at the helm the seat pulls out for another bed so effectively sleeps 5 people comfortably.

Powered by a 150 hp turbo diesel, it averages 10 knots and at 1800rpm only uses 1.3 gallons of fuel an hour.

When you used "tug" in the name, I'm thinking tug boat(working boat).
This one's nose appears too pointed for a "tug" boat.
What is this boat's function?
I am not a boat guy....Don't know anything about them.
Thanks,
Pat

Golly Sarge, if you wern't such a speed freak I bet you could get better than "averages 10 knots and at 1800rpm only uses 1.3 gallons of fuel an hour"

My last liveaboard was a 50 footer w/ tw 300 Cummings and at about 10 kts, I could get right at 1 for 1.... B's to the wall, well I'd rather not talk about it....

It's a specialized Tug Boat wannabe made especially for semi-luxury cruising. Only 78 made in it's entire life span in Taiwan. I think Cruz In was number 76 of the lot.

Is the Lord Nelson all wood? Lots of work to keep her looking this good. LOVE it. Looks like a Trawler type Hull.

Inside and topside only. The hulls are fiberglass. Helm, interior and Salon is all teak wood.

Outstanding look and great choice of hull designs bet that tug rides the intercoastal just fine. Cup of joe and bet that time at the wheel is just great.

Many cups of Joe for that matter. Great boat on the ocean from New Hampshire to Virginia and only rolled a little leaving Little Creek to get to the ICW with waves about 4 feet. Round bottom tugs don't track waves and winds nicely. LOL
