The Intracoastal Waterway is a 3,000 mile inland waterway. Some lengths consist of natural inlets, salt-water rivers, bays, and sounds; others are artificial canals. It provides a navigable route along its length without many of the hazards of travel on the open sea.
It is the most beautiful trip you could make on a boat and from VA to Key West you see America for days and days.

Decision Time. Starboard to 'Dismal Swamp' or Port to Atlantic Intracoastal. Hmm I'll take the better sounding one for sure as Pilot
The Great Bridge Lock ( you rise up about 2 feet )

Leaving Great Lock in early am. Had to wait 20 min for opening.
I guess some don't make it all the way.
