Anyone have or use the Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Lens For Nikon with AE Chip? Specifically looking for a faster wide angle for night and astrophotography. Generally hear this is a good inexpensive option if you get a good copy. Primary camera is a D750.

Thanks in advance!

You might try posting this in the astronomical section. You might get more response.

I had that lens in the Canon version. I had absolutely no issues with it. The only reason I sold it was with my eye sight, I needed the autofocus to use it during the day. Great lens, always did a nice job for me. I replaced it with the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 which also does a great job

I agree. For those with aps/c sensors, the Tokina 11-16 is a great bargain, with excellent image quality for the price.

Hi, I have this lens and have used it a lot on my D600 and also on my Sony A7r. Very good lens, even if the price was 3 times higher. Has very good score on DXO mark, one of the best lenses there surrounded by only many times more expensive lenses. But it is manual focus only, in case you do not know.
