 Beautiful shots! Many members use this camera and I am impressed by all their work. If one is considering a bridge camera then the SX 50 should be at the top of the list. The photographer has to know what he's doing too, and you certainly do.

Hi nimbushopper,

I agree completely that the SX50 should be a strong candidate among the current bridge camera offerings! The members of this particular forum and the other forums here on UHH are really showcasing the beautiful results one can get with this little jewel of a camera!

Thanks for looking and for commenting!

I am impressed. I bought a SX50 over two years ago. I think I have used it briefly only two times. I got it to take to places like when I go kayaking or on long hikes. Haven't really done any of that lately so I continue to learn my Canon 6D with my L lenses. Looks like you are getting as good of shots with your camera as I do with mine with a 1001x400 lens. Keep it up.

Hi 49er,

Thanks for looking and especially for your nice comments. I really appreciate that!

great shots. your heron is perfect and the green eyes of the cormorant brought back a funny memory. a few years ago i was driving down my street and came across a cormorant w/ a fish hook in its mouth, dragging a 3 ounce sinker. its head was facing backwards because of the weight. i grabbed the bird and removed the hook and was repaid w/ a nasty bite to my knuckle. excruciating pain. I've always felt bad for the fish they catch as i know a little bit of what they are feeling. gary

Hi Gary,

Thanks for sharing your story! Fortunately that hasn't happened to me (yet!) over the years of helping injured birds.

Really nice set but the eyes of the birds are really something else. Keep up the good work.
