Cost of a digital image.

I have been approached by a printing and framing company to buy "digital" prints. A one time use. These are for a clinic in my town. An offer of $60.00 was given to me for each print bought. Is that a fair price?

Never look a gift horse in the mouth. Take it. If you don't you just might get nothing.

What size will they be printing them?
$60 for 8x12"
$150 for 24x16"
$200 for 30x20" would be fair pricing in my mind.

Listen to Hal.
What does it matter what size they print.
No print no size no money no memories no fame.

Just make sure your contract defines "one time use."

It matters because that's how these things are priced - by size, number of copies, length of use, area of publication etc.

These look like pretty fair prices. Next, protect yourself with a use contract. This should specify the usage agreement you reach, ex. one time - duration (x year(s)) with renewable clause - lifetime, etc.

Periods of time will have a fee associated with them, above the print price.

Just prints, or mounted/framed, etc. and of course what size?

Can you put "Photo by _________" or "__(name)__ Photo" on the print or is the Printing & Framing Co. going to promote it as their own?
