Great Greens, Corolyn!! So pristine and well photographed. Nice to see large leaves unchewed by bugs and untorn by the wind.
Thank you Sherry! I have had some Japanese beetles on some of my plants and have been picking them off and squashing them. I don't use pesticides on my garden go I go out early and look closely. They have made a mess of my roses and some chewing on the coneflowers and butterfly bushes but so far that is where the damage is most severe. We have had some strong winds but not so bad as to shred the leaves.
Fantastic textures to the first few, and the leaves are wonderfully varied and colorful! Nice work!
Thanks Randy. Those are wild Mullen. The leaves are huge. And the plant has a bloomstalk that reaches 6 feet with little yellow flowers on the stalk. You may have guessed that the leaves are very soft and fuzzy and similar to Lamb's Ears. They are a host plant but I can't remember for what insect.
