Thistles on the creek bank.

These were unintentional. I was shooting ducks on the opposite bank when I saw these plants about 20 feet to my right. I didn't change my settings & was please at how fast the lens refocused at the shorter distance. I didn't expect much, but I was pleased when I got home & viewed them on my PC. The small dof at 600mm did a good job at de-focusing the background (JMO). Please feel free to download.
Good ones, Earl, and I agree, the long focal length did a great job at creating the OOF background.

Very nice, Earl. Ya gotta love close-ups with long lenses!
Nice, that lens is working for you!!!
Very well done Earl. You have the knack to take something rather mundane and produce a beautiful image. I have been looking at the Tamron & Sigma lenses in that focal length to buy, and it sure seems like your Tamron is doing a great job for you.
Decisions, decisions, decisions! Oh well, I'll procrastinate tomorrow.

Very nice images Earl. I don't think these are Thistle however but some kind of weed akin to dandelions.
