I buy issues of the magazine at local bookstores. It's very good. They're 100% independent. They have camera, lens, and flash reviews. They also have software tutorials. Sometimes they will have a roundup of numerous lens or flash units from a variety of manufacturers. That can help in making new purchases.

Traveler, I asked this same question not long ago and the responses I got were mostly positive. Based on that I signed up for the 6 month plan and will extend it if it meets expectations. Here is a link to my thread, I hope it helps.

Similar to the CANON offering, my neighbour and I found it very good (CANON ONE) but pitched to the beginner end of the market. Some good info but after 18 months it begins to recirculate. That's when we stopped our subscription, electing to buy specific issues if it contained anything of specific interest.

I have a subscription and receive it monthly, this is one of the best magazines for Nikon owners.

It's an excellent mag, and it used to come with a DVD - maybe it still does. You can get it downloaded vs on paper for a lower price. The price is too high for my liking, though.

Paper or download? Do you still get the DVD with it?

I have paper for me and do get a DVD with it in the cellophane wrapper. Yes it is expensive, however it is cheaper for the subscription than to buy it in the store and you get the magazine before the store has it on their shelf.

Download version for me, and you get web access to the videos that come on the DVD with the paper version.
