ebay would be a good place to look.

Sorry no extra stuff here.
But my first digital lens was a Canon 35-80 zoom. It was ugly and noisy but was pretty sharp!!
It could be used reveresed or with a $10 set of plastic rings.
I even saw a uTube once, where you can remove the front element and it will focus close!!
The lenses go for about $50.
I saw a cheap tripod the other day at Goodwill for $10. It wasn't a Gitzo, but it would beat the pants off of handholding!!!

I exclusively use KEH (www.keh.com) for used photographic equipment. They have lenses, cameras, tripods, filters, etc. They rate each used component, from LN (like new) to BGN (bargain--a piece of junk better used as a paper weight.) Check their Web site and see if you can find what you want at a price you can afford.

I avoid using ebay, although many people have made satisfactory purchases through that site.

A friend of mine recently gave me a Manfrotto Tripod (Not Giving That One Away) so my older, pretty sturdy tripod is available. If you happen to live on Long Island, or know someone who does, I'll give it to you.
