Now that is close! Not too shabby!

I google insect descriptions to find photos for comparison.
I found this reference:http://www.thebutterflysite.com/alabama-butterflies.shtml which revealed this butterfly match:
Zebra Swallowtail (Eurytides marcellus) at http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species/Eurytides-marcellus .
