Unknown fiery plants.

I have no idea what these are called & have never seen them before, but thy stand out like neon signs. I was driving through a small town & these were growing along someone's front fence. I could see them from a hundred yard away. Please download for a better look.

I don't know either, but they're certainly beautiful. They look rather like the orange version of firebush, but I guess that's not what they are. Great shots, Earl, and even better on download.

Very unusual plant Earl and nice shots!
Are you well known around town as the guy with the camera that stops at everyone's houses to shoot their plants???!!! lol...

They are buds on a trumpet vine. The last photo shows some that have opened, but are about ready to drop.

Lovely shots, Earl. You've almost convinced me to abandon all effort to establish my own garden and just ride around shooting the neighbors'.
