Anxiously awaiting on info regarding the July 1 law and Paypal's user agreement pertaining to their so called sharing of our phone numbers for calls, surveys, etc. Jerry brought this up a couple weeks ago and I'm still unable to find anything definitive until I call Paypal. Their site info,as far as I can determine, doesn't address their compliance/non-compliance,etc,with the change. I suppose I could take it at face value and make my decision.

I'm have been on the no call list for years and it helps, but leaves a lot of room for improvement.

Well, here comes a rant. I have my phone for my convenience. I'm also on the govmint's do not call list. I keep getting calls regardless. I wish people/companies would consider it a violation of privacy to share phone number with who ever.

The best feature of my cell phone is that I can add numbers to a "block this caller" list. The list keeps growing and my annoying calls keep diminishing.

Don't get me wrong. I always enjoy, and look forward to, calls from friends. I don't enjoy having my day interrupted by calls from people I don't know and politicians begging for my vote. BTW, the same politicians who established the do not call list, but exempted themselves from abiding by it.

1n). Get a call blocker for your landline. $44 or. Less at Amazon

2). Remember that a lot of these calls come from outside the U.S. and will never go away.

NPR radio had a talk regarding the co-operation of providers enabling call originators the ability to change the caller ID by routing the calls around. I've been getting calls and the caller ID shows my number as the caller. Something fishy, obviously in the name of profitability. Gee,what a shocker.

We may be seeing another cute loophole in the making with Paypal's requirements. A lot of people need and use their services,so just ignore the calls. Yeah, right!

The do not call list is a government fraud!

You can document the calls and information all you want and turn it over to the government.....they do NOTHING!

It's supposed to be illegal for computer's to call. That's all I get. Every time, I block the number, these companies just use a different number.

the more I block, the more calls I get.

Had dinner with a family and their (20ish) daughter who works for one of the "boiler room" call companies. When I told her we had a call blocker she just laughed and said: "We have hundreds of numbers". Great!

Phone companies have actually modified software that allows users to change or re-route calls that make tracking nearly impossible. I occasionally receive calls with a caller ID of PRIVATE or my phone number.
Our companies can stop this, instead of provide for it and apparently the new requirements allow us to prohibit this upon request. Unless you give up your rights to Paypal?? Original point is who knows what the changes will bring????

I ran out of memory to block calls. Still they come. Card holder services is the worse offender. I have entered 100's of numbers trying to block them. Anyone find out where they are located I want to pay them a visit.

Cardholder services is a big one, usually has a Florida number. I have asked them to put me on their no-call list and usually they hang up.

As far as their location, look for a crap location with a long line paying them a visit. Not sure what country, but our country contains the bastards who profit from it.
