Went riding today to try and get some pics. It was very overcast and I was being lazy and didn't take my long lens.
Well this bird sat there for 10 mins and all I was armed with was my iPhone.
Next time!
You didn't need a long lens. You did very well with your phone. That shot could not have been any better.

No apologies needed this is a sublime shot!!!
I agree with everyone-this is a very nice shot. The composition is just about perfect.
I love it. Great composition. Would make a nice calander page.

You did great just as it is.
What bird? LOL. :XD:
I've been making the opposite mistake, going out with only a long lens and had to shoot a scene like that as a panorama that hasn't been put together yet.
Gorgeous shot, Emm. You couldn't make it any better. You and your iPhone are making magic together. Apple has a current ad campaign where they use images taken by actual iPhone owners. You should submit some of your images to them. They're better than what I've seen in their ads.
Absolutely beautiful picture as is!! However, it does illustrate that when going out with the intent of getting some pics, make sure you take the lenses at your disposal so you have a full range.
The long lens would have made a 'different' view available, but not necessarily a 'better' image.
Lately, you have been showing some insane shots with your iphone.
Great work.
