you had something going in #1 but when you zoomed in #2 you lost it and the light and patterns of #1 got lost
as for #3 an effect that you cannot re-create is an accident - if you can consciously re-create said effect then it becomes a tool.

Oh I usually toss those in the trash....I only kept that one cuz of the background...looked kinda interesting. All you have to do is move your focus point slightly...up...down...left or right on one frame....and you get that effect.
