I was looking at some pictures I had taken of my family. Much to my surprise, there seemed to be a face with shoulders in a window of one of the pictures. I recreated the shot later and could never recreate the shadow or reflection. I am fairly certain it is not a ghost, we all had a good laugh about it. But it got me wondering about things you may have found in your pictures. Have you ever photographed a ghost?

Of course! I have somewhere in thousands of old photos the image of a young man appearing in the smoke of our patio wood burner. It was our semi-annual Halloween Party. No one but the camera noticed it. It was not until the images were downloaded from the camera that he showed himself. We do not recognize him. I think I need to look for him....be a good retirement activity!

At a mall one day I photographed a woman seemed to be dressed like a bag lady. The prints showed everything but the woman! That is my story and I am sticking too it. Ed

About 35 years ago, I photographed this ugly homeless guy.
When I got the pictures developed, lo and behold, it was actually a picture of a beautiful princes holding a sign saying, "if you tongue me, you will get filthy rich"!!!!
I'm still looking for that damned dude!!!!

Rules of photographing supernatural beings:
1. Turn off AF when photographing ghosts.
2. Do not use flash on vampires.
3. Be careful with white balance when photographing zombies.
4. Stop down when photographing werewolves to keep the hair in focus.
5. High key lighting is best for fairies, especially the Tooth Fairy.
6. Bigfoot is blurry no matter what. You can only fix him in PP.

Using a long exposure and second shutter sync you can create ghost like image of a person.

I have in fact what I believe to be a ghost in my photo of Public School #4, Annie Lytle school in Jacksonville. It showed up in 2 exposures, a 1 second, and a 4 second in very , very dark hallway. My friends and I did not see or feel anything, but when I downloaded images, lo and behold, something is definately there! See for yourself.....

That looks like a place you would expect to find a ghost! If I were a ghost, I think I would choose a place with cable and internet... Maybe the Playboy Mansion would be good

This is the closest I came to a ghost. When I shot this there was no one around me. It also looks like a reflection, however as I stated no one was around me and what was the cat looking at.
