Learned to use the history brush in CS5. Took a trip down in Indiana and came across this old Inn in Story. Took several pictures around dusk. The pictures didn't turn out that great. I took one of the pictures and converted it to black and white. Still didn't look that great. Then with the history brush, I brushed back in all the lights that were on in the original picture. It gave the black and white picture new life.

Thanks for the kind words. I've had Photoshop CS5 for over a year and I'm continuing to learn new things all the time. I took a semester course at College of DuPage, but that just gets you out of the gate. I'm now using a book called "Photoshop CS5, the missing manual." Learning a lot with that book.
Hi, What a fun picture. Super job,Coop. Mike
Yep, that would be in my keeper collection.
That's a very interesting shot...I like the way it turned out.
Thanks all. Yeah, I never delete a picture and never work on an original. I always copy a picture from the original to a working folder to start editing it. You never know when you learn a new editing trick and can do something with a picture that you thought was of no value. Thanks again.

OK, I was so excited about figuring out the history brush that I didn't even notice the power lines. But now that you showed me that they were there, they started glaring at me. So, I took your advice and remove the utility lines. Thanks, does look a lot better.
:D
