Finding HDR Photos in LR 6

I just started using LR 6. I upgraded from LR 5. When I do my HDR photos and finish processing they do not show up with my other photos as they did in LR 5. I now have to go to the Library Filter and do a search to get them to show up. Is there anyway around this so they will show without having to do a search? I use HDR Flex Pro 2 for my HDR images. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There may be a setting in HDR Flex Pro that allows you to output the blended file to a specific folder.

You could set that to a folder already recognized by Lightroom.

... but once in Lightroom, you would still have to import for LR to recognize it.

From the Library you go to the specific folder.
Choose import and then add.

Thank you for your response. The Flex Pro works as a plug-in for LR. In the past (LR 5) when I was thru with the image and clicked save it would automatically bring the image in to LR.

I use Enfuse plugin within LR 5.

The Enfuse dialog has an option to import the blended image into LR.

There may be one similar in your Flex Pro plugin.

Not sure how relevant this is to your situation, but you could check the film strip along the bottom. When I use LR's HDR merge tool, the merged photo shows up automatically in the film strip next to the three original exposures. And if I remember correctly, returned edits from plug-ins show up there too.

If the HDR image can be found by searching in the Library filter, then the HDR image obviously has been auto-imported into LR.

Do you start making the HDR from folder images or collection images?

Make another HDR image, do the search and find it, then right click on the image and choose "Go to Folder in Library".

Make a note of where it is.

Back to the filmstrip. Is the filmstrip showing images from that same folder the HDR image is in, or is the filmstrip made up from a collection?

Thank you for your reply. The images are now showing up in the film strip. May have been a glitch in downloading LR 6. For your information I was starting from a folder and the number of pics in the folder would go up by one but it would not show. The only way I could get to it was search. The world of computers. Thank you for your help and the help you give other members.

That implies the new image had been catalogued but a preview not generated. Another little bug on this incarnation of LR.
