I did a web search for "Canon 700D back button focus" and came up with this.

I'm terribly sorry. I was under the assumption that it told more about it. What little I can find is on the top of page 30. AF-ON.

On the T5i (700D) press Menu, then scroll over to Custom Function (C.Fn), press set, then setting 1 (AF/AE Lock), set again, then press Menu again and you're set.
