I got a Velocity 9 from KEH for a great price. I use it a lot. I also have a few backpacks and a coupe of sling packs. You never know what you are going to need, or have to carry.

I'll put in another plug for Tamrac and the velocity bags, I have the Velocity 8 as my primary grab and go bag. Tamrac bags have been immensely dependable, we have a couple of smaller ones for video cameras etc., plus the modular M.A.S. lens / flash pouches that fit the Velocity bag

Best of all, I've been sorting out and reorganizing gear today, and one task was to freshen up my Tamrac 613 that I bought in the mid 1980s. Gave it a quick soak in the washing machine, a spin dry, and put it out in the sun for a while. Put it all back together and it looks, feels and smells as good as new. Built to last!

This is the very slightly updated version still available on Amazon roughly thirty years later. Mine still looks just as good. http://www.amazon.com/Tamrac-613-Super-Camera-Black/dp/B00009UTSW

Forty years ago there was "The System Bag" designed by a photographer and sold out of New York. That was one nice bag, now just a memory until some enterprising soul remakes it.

These days, I kind of like Lightware equipment bags, I guess, because I seem to have lots and lots of the stuff.
