The stuff of nightmares - but interesting as well. I doubt I'll ever deliberately get that close to a spider. The spider in the movie Krull was more than enough for me.

Thank you. I am visiting with my Grandkids, on a short visit here in between their mothers assignments, was stationed in Germany now enroute to Korea for a year, with the USAF. I thought it was time for the old hairy - faced Grandfather to introduce the Grandson to photography, he is almost 10 yrs old, and rather mature for his age. Won't it be wonderful to have his visible memories of such exotic places from his young point of view?

So it started, and he really seems to be really taking to it. My problem is how to teach him composition, and your photo provided the excellent opportunity. The spider as you have it, then I blew it up, filling the screen with nothing but spider.

It worked, he understood why your photo as you composed it is better than a simple mug shot. Well done!

Thank you.

Nora the pink softens the fear factor and is wonderful background. Not sure but kind of wonder if he is blind in the lighter colored eye. These are fabulous shots!

"Not sure but kind of wonder if he is blind in the lighter colored eye"

Thanks! I search web and, unfortunately, could not find any information about eyes.

Nice shot. I'd be afraid the jumper would jump on my face, like the alien in "Alien".:)

I'm going to try to take a picture of a Japanese beetle on my roses and throw darts at it ;)
