Preening, Posing, Silly Posing & Crowing - Redtailed Hawk

Before I leave Cheesequake State Park I usually drive around the parking lot border to see if there are any birds in the trees or along the marshy areas. Found this Redtailed Hawk this morning and he was kind enough to allow me within 20 feet and we hung out for a while.

great set. your hawk is a south paw. he's got his left set of talons up and ready for the crow in 2 of your pics. most of the time hawks are barely fazed by crows, this one seems to be losing its patience. gary

Thank you gwr. This hawk was being harrassed by two crows. He went from tree, to fence to the sign because the crows were very persistent.
