Those finches have mostly moved on now, which is a good thing. As much fun as they were to watch, they were mean little beggars and would watch the feeders and run off any other bird that tried to grab a snack, including a group of about thirty grackles!And the finches didn't even have to be feeding themselves, either. They would sit in some short trees about thirty or forty feet away and watch to make sure no one entered their buffet!

Yeah, me too! That eagle pic happened around 8:30a.m. My landlord came screaming down my driveway, waving his arms and motioning like he was taking a pic. I had just poured the first cup of coffee, and was sitting here in my gown LOL. He had said he saw what he thought was an eagle about a month before I moved here, and that it was the first one he had ever seen here in the 17 years he had owned the property and he had not seen it since. I bailed out in my gown, camera in hand, and there he was! I'm sure the neighbors were scandalized, but I didn't care LOL!
