This is a mouse embryo showing the development of cartilage and bone. It is part of a friend's research on bone development, to try and understand some of the defects seen in humans.

Very interesting. Can you help us with information? What is length of skeleton?
This is a PNG image, so no Exif info. What equipment & technique used to capture image?

The embryo is about 1-cm (2/5-inch) in length, and is floating in a pool of glycerol. I am using a Nikon D7200 with a Nikkor 105G macro lens. I use Helicon Remote to control the camera. The image is obtained from 38 slices, combined using Helicon Focus and then fine-tuned using Photoshop to remove background distractions.
