Another shot, I took yesterday, from a very crowded circle line boat, using color Strokes Software, and a little Imagination ,
where as I blend what I believe the old and the new....

Miss liberty Welcomes the masses.. I used my Nikon D800 setting my camera at 20 megs and using my nikon 14-24 2.8 wide anglr lens

Thanks, Jerry I took that yesterday, when my girlfriend and I decided the weather was so nice, we took the circle line boat ride around manhattan, when we passes the statue of liberty, I just happened to thin about the Inscription written there so long ago, about welcoming the masses, as so i thought blending the B/W with color would combine the masses of old with present day....

If you want a real treat on the water, take a Spirit dinner cruise. You get a great meal, and nice boat ride, and a stop near the Statue. My wife and I did this a couple of times, and I organized a high school reunion on one of their boats.

Nice shot but your heavy processing has left horrible halos around the subject. You need to back it off some.

I grew up in Bayside and Douglaston and remember a couple of school trips to the Statue, and once also on a Circle Line tour--I'd guess the Public Schools in NYC don't do that any more? Coming back from my grand-parents' home in NJ, my folks decided to divert to the SI Ferry on the night it was first lit after WWII; I vaguely remember that too.
