anybody know a way to "organize" local presets in Lightroom?

I've accumulated quite a few presets for lightroom. The development presets can be grouped and put into folders however, it doesn't appear that the local presets can. A couple of things I've thought about - prefix numbers or prefix letters ie i for eyes, s for skin, l for landscape etc. I also discovered that if you import a folder of presets the folder doesn't show up but it does seem to group those particular presets. I also discovered that the only way to rename (to add prefixes) is to do so within lightroom and it is not a pleasant experience. I did try to go to the folder where they are stored and do the renames in it... but then they don't show up with the new names under the brush effects (they do however resequence based on the new names.. This is very strange in deed and wondering what others do. It would be nice to have folders to avoid sliding down through a long list of brush presets... appreciate any input or experiences others have had... Frankly while I like the idea of presets for consistency, I often find it quicker to just customize a new brush for the immediate need...and would use the presets if they were easier to find and navigate to. thanks.

Haven tried it in LR yet, But I use an *, **, *** for "most used", I do this in filing files within folders for a particular job. Even with layers like in Autocad, I will precede most used layer names with an * to bring it to the top of the list which can add up in the hundreds..., instead of using a search, I use an *... I may at times remove them (*) when the job is completed.

I ran into the same problems that you're having. What I started doing is putting 0 in front of ones I use often. Or if I have a set 01-Eyes (example)
It allows them to go to top of my list this way.
Good luck 😊

That's also what I ended up doing.. Just wish there were folders so that they can be collapsed..
