This may be a bit "off topic", but if there was ever a series of photos that could evoke emotion, this is it.
For being over 150 years old the photos are extraordinary.
I demonstrates the power of the both the camera and the photographer.
This appears to be the first in a series.
Many are graphic (and true) shots, thus viewer be warned, but to see our history so exposed is a privileged.

Its been over thirty years since I've seen them, but there are 2 or 3 volumes of Civil War Photos taken by Mathew Brady that are mind boggling...

Thank you. Two of my favorite things are photography and history so needless to say, I love old photographs. I live in sw PA, so I've been to many of these battlefieds. It is hard to describe the feeling I get everytime I go to Gettysburg.
