The horses are beautiful. I think you are off to a great start with your canon. I would like to have seen the rest of the mares face and ear in the third shot, seems like it was cut off. But still a wonderful shot of mom and baby.
The first one looks like it could be used for a nature magazine. Good job.
Thanks a bunch TTK, these were taken before I joined the site cant believe how much info You can absorb from here. Its a pleasure Kenny

Nice set of photos here. I'm particularly fond of that first photo with morning light.
I like number 1

first one ligthing and composition is perfect. shot is good enough for a calendar. the other two are also quite good, agree with other poster about third shot needing whole ear. sometimes we get so focused on our subject we forget to check the viewfinder one last time before pressing the shutter release. post more of your work especially horses. :P

#1 is the winner for me. I love the lighting in it.
I really appreciate the input Guys. I cant believe how much information l have gotten from You in the last 4 days. This site is the ultimate,,thanks again kenny
You are so lucky to have such great subjects nearby love the fact they are wild. Around here all the horses I see have halters on them which detracts from the beauty in my opinion
Ya why l wanted to get better pics fifty,,sometimes they are hard to find,,gotta take advantage when you can,,theres about 3,000 wild horses in utah,,most are 40 miles minimum from the nearest town,,like You pics thanks for the comments,Kenny

I can tell you love horses. From one ranch kid to another, great work.
Howdy glad to see another west sloper on here,,,,,
I am glad to know there is someone from close by on here too. I really like your photos of the wild horses. They are very good. I try to get decent shots of our horses in the pasture and they never turn out.

Thanks for the information. I have heard that you could see them there, but was sure how easy the access was. One of my co-workers once got stuck in the mud over night. She wasn't used to Colorado wet road though.
