18th century cottages

You might like to see two 18th century cottages in the village I live in. I could not get closer as they are walled and gated but both are occupied.

Beautiful ! But something tells me that they are very expensive to keep up to their orginal design....

Must be. The roof of the hidden one on the left is thatched which has to be renovated every now and then but they are in good condition.
