found this park while on a hike with the wilmington trail club. I have found many places like this on one of their hihes.

Thanks for the "heads up" about the ticks. I will be sure to do a through check for them. We have 4 cats and 2 dogs, so we are familiar with them.

found some new highly rated bug repellent by sawyers, has picaridan not deet, we love it. get it at cabaleos

Thanks for that. I hate DEET. It stains your clothes, it will mark the finish on musical instruments if your arm touches the surface. It might be more poisonis than the bug bite.
