If you are looking for a small, light, electronic device to display your digital photos like you've not seen them before your search is over. The new iPad 3, with its Retina dispaly featuring a 2048x1536 resolution on 9 1/2" makes even slightly out of focus pictures look great. The devide is easy to use, reads RAW pictures and with the Camera Connection Kit imports your pictures directly from your camera. This little display puts my Gateway 24" HD computer monitor to shame.

Go to the store and check on out. The iPad isn't a computer, it's an expensive toy that just happens to display digital photos better than anything I've ever seen.

OR

Take a look at the Asus Transformer Prime. The Tab has a micro SD card slot that you can use to display pictures or get the additional keyboard that attaches to it. The keyboard has a full size SD card slot. The Prime without the keyboard will give up to 8 hours of power, and when attached to the keyboard will give up to 16 hours of power. That is enough to display your pictures all day at a event.

OR...

Make real prints (or have them made) and put 'em on a wall! Puts any electronics to shame.

Cheers,

For the customer who wants them, of course. But won't they want to review them first?

Too bad they are having so many issues like over heating, weak wifi and other problems, wouldn't be surprised to see a recall on this product.

i am first to buy all the new technology, electronic devices, computers, etc....but all this crap is making us unsociable. now we can show stuff on the internet, email, and we can text, etc....

maybe having the customer come to our house or office to see and review the actual prints would be a breath of fresh air.

what a concept.....a face to face meeting!!!!

My goodness. What a bunch of negative crap. I posted this just to share what I thought was a little bit of good info. Didn't expect to get what followed.

Traveler 90712 - the Asus Transformer Prime has about 1/2 the screen resolution of the iPad3. My post was for personal viewing not for an all day viewing at an event what ever that is.

Roger Hicks - yes prints hanging the wall are nice but they are pretty hard to take them with you to show off when you are not at home and wish to show someone your photos.

Think I've made a mistake joining this board and will leave it to you.

Hold on. We suggested alternatives. Often in a quite light-hearted fashion. That's 'negative crap'?

Cheers,

R.

It does beat having a printed portfolio in that it can be taylored to fit the client very quickly and still have alternatives to show in case they ask. I've heard the display is really good.

WHOA!!!
Yes, the Prime has less screen resolution then the, buy everything from ITunes, IPad 3.
I actually don't care if you use a chisel and stone to show your work.
The Prime was offered as alternative! That's all! There was nothing negative in my posting.

FYI Event
This can be nothing more then a family picnic or gathering of friends, a fair, a circus. etc.

i thought this thread was light humor.....

some of you need to chill a bit.

in reality..i do use a tablet to show my images to potential customers.

if i , in any way, stepped on some toes, i definitely apologize....

i was really making light-hearted fun of myself.

but you got to admit...the new electronic toys are absolutely great and has changed the way biz is done.

i work out of my home, so my presentations are at the clients home or office. i always use electronic media.

i thought it was interesting when it was posted to have prints on the wall. those of you that spend bucks on rent and overhead to have a studio definitely need all the mediums to show their work.

i like it all.

if i pissed someone off with some of my replies, i apologize.

and 2nd point......if you are here and have no sense of humor....stay home. hahahahaha.

lots of great tips and tricks are passed back and forth here every day. i have learned tons and i appreciate it......but i sure would hate to see this forum become a stick in the mud. i, for one, enjoy the little tidbits of humor that is passed along.

please don't change this.
