Still trying to get this. Here's goes another try.
boats arriving for 4th of July fireworks
If you preview after you attach the photos the photos will dissappear. The preview is only for previewing your text. Never preview after attaching the photos.
I read that prior to trying to post anything. As a veteran, I have a tendency to always read the rules and instructions first. I've never hit the "preview" button. But, thanks for the input.
What web browser are you using? I found out this morning (my web browser mozilla firefox was blocking my upload). I used google chrome instead, no problem uploading....hope this helps.
I'm using internet explorer 9
I also tried internet explorer and couldn't get it upload on it either....beginning to believe if you want to upload on this site, you must have google chrome.
OMG! It worked! I had to download and install Google Chrome too. TADA!!!!!
Love the photo! And glad that it worked for you!

Hmmmmmm I use IE8 with Vista and have no problems at all with uploading photos. Maybe its just the luck of the Irish for me .... but I do get frustrated when I get a new message and have to wait about 5 minutes before I can open it. I log in, click the message and get told to log in again. I find waiting 5 or 6 minutes will then allow me to open it. That occassionaly happend when trying to open a thread. I'm sure part of it is growing pains of a new forum...

Actually, to be completely honest with what is going on here. It's your setting in each browser your are using. I use Google Chrome as default but that's only because it's so much faster and easier to use with all of the apps and support it has. Each browser is set up to your computers default firewall settings. However, Java play's a huge part in downloading and uploading to sites so you want to make sure this is completely up to date. If and when you are having problems uploading or downloading anything at all, check your settings and make sure your firewall is not blocking your actions for the site. You may not have problems on other sights and others you may, most likely you need to allow it through your firewall. I was a computer tech. and a internet tech for Cox cable for 5 years during the 12years I was a computer tech. and this tends to be the main issues when downloading and uploading to websites. If you are running Windows Vista or higher and still running IE8 you are unprotected and should upgrade to IE9. It is very important that you upgrade your explorer's as they are released. The reason being you are unsafe is because now that the new version has been released "Microsoft" no longer supports protections against hackers and coder's for that browser. Even with military grade virus, hacker, and code protection, you are not safe if running an older browser. Always make sure your Auto updates are on in your windows settings as these updates are created to keep you safe! If you are not sure if this is on and you would like to check it for your safety just click on your start menu, go to "my computer" right click and select "properties" from the menu drop down menu. A window will then open with your computers main information. At the top will be 5-6 tabs depending on your operating system. Click on "Automatic updates" tab. The very top option should be dotted "green" which is your recommended setting. If it is not turned on, turn it on. Then click Apply and close the window. You are now safe!

jwilliams...Thank you so much for taking the time to help me with this...I will try to do all you have said and see what happens...I turned off the firewall for my AVG virus control...it is easy to enable/disable...thought I would try to upload with it off...I also have Macafee which came with this new HP Touchsmart and is paid up for 4 years, but does not seem to be functioning properly, hence, I added avg which I have used for years with wonderful results and satisfaction...I can't get the firewall to turn off in the Macafee program...It just won't let me and I am not savy enough to figure out a way around it....I will update to IE9 and check my Java...seems like I am always updating Java..more than anything else...also will attend to automatic up dates...tho it seems to slow down the computer...both of my computers seem to be running slow anyways...I have a friend who is a free lance computer person after her regular job as computer programmer for the state facility for mentally challanged persons in our county...she is very good..so I will get her out to check things out and speed things up...I appreciate your help so much...not many folks would take the time.....Linda
