i have an AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm 3.5-5.6G ED VR (kit lens that came with the D90), an AF-S Nikkor 55-300mm 4.5-5.6G ED VR and a Sigma 150-500mm. I want to replace the 18-105mm and 55-300mm with an 18-200mm. Nikon has an AF-S Nikkor 18-200 3.5-5.6G ED VR II, Sigma also has an 18-200mm. My inclination is to go with the Nikkor, either wait for a new lens to be in stock or get a refurbished lens that is in stock. Does this sound like a good idea? Is there some other lens I should consider?
Also, how does one go about "trading in" equipment? I will be dealing with B&H.
Stick with the Nikon, the price difference isn't that much, and the lens quality is higher, thats an older Sigma design. Also Nikons VR II is very fast and accurate, Sigmas OS is accurate, but slower to engage. (Notice the delay in your 150-500mm yet? The slower OS is the cause of the only out of focus shots I have taken with mine.)

I've tried Tamron and went back to Nikon - can't explain the difference, but Like Potter Stewart said "I know it when I see it". May be bias rather than an actual difference.
I have had excellent results with KEH....just sayin'. Got a very fair quote on some of my equipment.
