Water drops on a red ti leaf
After the rain
Quick shot before he got away
Not too shabby!
About
#1 - Good idea & technique, but remember that you should never have to explain a photograph. I keep looking for the subject in #1. If the drops are the subject, crop-out the unnecessary areas.
#2 - Good technique. Next time position a flower or some other object behind drop, which will then be inverted and reversed in water drop, making it the center of attention.
#3 - Lapping a little dew. I like the "story" and the perspective. NO explanation necessary. Technically a close-up photograph, not a macro-photograph.
All three - Good use of available light.

Is there a definition that would explain difference between a great close-up and a macro? Sarge
