Thanks for clarifying this, I always wondered why so many people were spelling it that way.

I still wish I KNEW why. Too be "cool", "different", or "ignorant"?

I think we will be seeing it used even more. I prefer using the spelling 'lens' as it is the one I grew up with. Once wiki says it's ok... I guess we lost the war.

This says that it is used in various parts of the world, I wonder if it is a foreign spelling.

(I edited the second link because I posted the same one twice accidentally)

The writer of the second link might want to reference which dictionary. Probably not the Websters, American Heritage, or Oxford English. He does not site a country. More Web journalism.

I assumed it was merely sloppy. Possibly neglect in adding the "s" at the end, which would match the adjective "two" and the predicate "are."

For general purposes, Nikon 28-300 is unbeatable.

It is hard to pick two. That is why I picked the two that I am using the most this month. Next month, who knows?

Bob, these are my two as well -- don't own any other Canon lenses, but may be getting something just for landscape, high quality with high rating -- around 35mm 1.8 or whatever is appropriate.
Cheers,
David

I figured that, but was pointing out the use of it later as a singular as "lense".

My 2 favorite lenses are probably the Nikkor 200mm micro lens and the Tamron 150-600mm lenses.
There is a tie for honorable mention between the Tamron 24-70 and 70-200mm 2.8 lenses.
