took this the other night just as the fog was starting to roll in
I like the calmness of the water and the blueness that was created.
taken with Nikon d7000, iso 400, 1/30 sec f5/6, manual
only pp was slight contrast adj.

I like this shot...no suggestions really except to ask you to check the "store original" so we can enjoy this at full size. :)

The blue tint actually adds something to the shot. Nice work.

It gives one the feeling of being lost.

I really love the serenity of it, overall.
Crystal clear shot!

(The only suggestion I could offer for improvement is subjective... but I would crop a good portion, if not all of the sky out. It's very light and detracts from the rest of the scene for me in THIS instance only. Maybe bring it down to the top of the tree on the right... which leaves the fog in the shot just enough.)

Very nice. You should frame and put this one up.

Beautiful. Every time I take a foggy pic like this I am tempted to adjust the contrast as well. Some times it helps and some times not. Fog, by it's very nature, diffuses and softens a scene and by bumping up the contrast we can often lose that aspect of what drew us to take the picture in the first place. Like I said, I go back and forth on this all the time, love this one though! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you and I thought at first the night would be ruined, now I can't wait for the next fog to roll in.

as a rule I don't care for this type of shot, In this case you nailed the shot, Great light ( even if it is flat) you make the shot work with the foreground reflections and tones.

Great shot......love the reflections in the water and the mist in the background adds a little mystery to the composition.
