How about some shots from the sigma 150-500 mm
great shots great quality . my son just purchased one on my recomendation after reading posts from uuh people. i knew when you recomended it it was good didn't disapoint thanks MT Ron
Anytime, glad he likes it.
I just sold my OLD Nikon 80-200mm F2.8 (only push-pull lens I ever owned) and ordered the Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 to replace it. After seeing the quality of the 150-500mm it seemed like a no-brainer. And I got as much out of my old Nikon as the Sigma cost, nothing out of pocket on the deal! How cool is that!
Here are a couple from last fall.
That's a lot of glass and don't we all need it ... but
I shoot at a lower degree as close is the most with me.

Hi - - MT: I know you like this lens - - but I just sent the second one back (first one had internal debris on the second lens element, photos from the second are uploaded)
.
This is a center crop from a shot taken in reasonable light. Camera (7D) was tripod mounted, ISO 1200, f/8, 500mm, shutter 1/1200 sec, OS was off (I could see the wander when OS was on), mirror was locked up and I used a remote to trigger the shutter on a 10-sec delay. Focus was Manual using Live-View at full 10x magnification on the back screen (it looked OK there).
.
It's time for Lens Plan B - - if I can remember what that was - -
.
? Canon 100-400 {push-pull and dust sucker really turn me off on that one} vs the 300 L prime. Oh my - -
