Sony Shooters.

I saw someone putting people on a Sony list several weeks ago, but I don't know if I ever got on it because I've never heard anything back. I use an A330 with 2 basic kit telephotos (which I'd love to upgrade someday)

Hi all.
I have been judiciously adding Sony shooters to my buddy list wherever I see them. I now have 82 in my list. We are growing.
I'm not sure if I'm on the list, so I'll just go ahead and list my Sony gear: 2/A850's, an A77 (all w/grips), Zeiss 16-35/2.8, Sony 28-75/2.8, Sony 500/8, and a raft of aftermarket lenses(Sigma and Tamron), a Minolta 70-210/4 (which I would part with, since I have a Sigma 70-210/2.8), a Minolta 5600hsd strobe, and a Sony HVL 58 strobe.
I have found that I hardly use the Sony 28-75/2.8, so I would part with that also.
The learning curve on the A77 is steep, but I'm having fun climbing it!
I've always been a Minolta user, so when Sony took over their slr technology it was a natural move for me. Also, since I'm getting old and shaky(!?), the steady-shot built into the body is a God-send.

You have been on my list for some time. I am jealous of the 2.8 lenses you have. Not been able to afford them myself.
The minolta 70-210 f4. Is that the 'beercan'? That was reputedly one of the sharpest lenses Minolta ever made.

I am seriously thinking of ordering this with a Tamron 18-270 but have seen some complaints about lens drop when on a strap. What are your thoughts? I want to use this as primary camera for travel shots, some macro and candids. I am in the Roanoke area, by the way. Spend LOTS of time in Tidewater.

Just a stone's throw really. East Dundee is just over the Fox river and I am in West Dundee on the other bank.
I might be interested in the beercan. I will send a PM.
