A few days ago we had a cold front go by this area in SoCal, leaving our local mountains covered with snow. Mt. San Jacinto, near Hemet and Big Bear near San Bernardino. I was hoping for a late afternoon shot of the warm sunset light hitting the clouds and the snow. While waiting for the Sun to get lower in the Western horizon and the light to hit the mountain top in the East, I looked behind me and was rewarded with this sunset. I didn't get the effect I was waiting for due to the clouds which built up pretty rapidly and completely covered the snow on the mountain top. Lesson learned? Don't forget to check out ALL your surroundings, you might be pleasently surprised. Pictures taken within minutes of each other.

Thank you MT Shooter, you beat me by a few months!!! This was my first experience at finding something more interesting behind me than in front.
