please tell me if these pic are good or still need tweaking. Thanks all of the useful opinions!!
#1......still to much shadow on the cows face. #2......look good to me.

The cow has his feet cut off, not good in full body shots. The chipmunk looks great....;0)

:-) Blank subject, - Crop - Sat color - Focus - Zoom in to portrait. :P Vivid color needed - crop more to subject, Less leaves and rock.

Would like to see more shadow detail in the cow. Would also like to see the feet. Not good to loose feet unless you do a 3/4 view.
The Chipmunk is good.

I wouldn't change the chipmunk. He is in an upper 1/3 (rule of thirds) position and I like that better than being centered. The leaves do not distract me but give something my eye uses to determine the size of the squirrel in relationship to his surroundings.
The cow has too many problems (especially the no feet issue). You may want to re-shoot that one. I doubt it's a once in a lifetime shot since cows don't typically hide from humans.

#1 - cut off his legs; #2 - I'd crop to include the squirrel, rock and leaves; make HIM the subject. Like the captures!
And thanks for sharing.

Sorry - Chipmunk (not squirrel)! Cute lil bugger. Oh, and when photographing animals, try to get at their level so that the eyes/face become central. You'll be amazed how much that improves your images. But, keep on shooting - doing great!
A couple different crops... Needs to be on the original, as the thumbnails are quite small. and not great quality.
