When I was a child, Walt Disney dazzled television viewers with time lapse photography -- from super slow drops of milk splashing, to flowers slowly blooming. Now I want to do some time lapse work in this digital age. I understand that having an intervalometer with a camera are the two basic ingredients. What is the best approach? Some cameras have provision for time lapse built in, but there's also remote release devices and software. I'm interested in hearing from anyone here at UHH and their experiences.
Time lapse is different from high speed camera (WD films)...
Time lapse, any camera does it, you just need to set it up on a tripod, set the interval and use software that can use the successive captures to create a film.
A motorized camera dolly really helps to add interest as well. Watch the beginning of any episode of House of Cards if you have Netflix to see what I mean... Good luck!
