I'm selling a TC barrel, with the bore immaculate. I need to show that, and not sure how to go about it. I've seen a few good examples folks have done, so I know it is possible. Anybody?

Reflected light down the barrel just like checking to see if it's clean snap shutter.

Try shining an LED down the bore and see what you get.
Good luck.

Consider a Borescope... shoot in video to an SD card and select stills if required. I use mine to examine cylinder walls on my hot rods without removing the heads. I think the smallest, at a reasonable price, are 3.5mm.
Plus they are fun to play with🏁

Thanks for the advice, guys. This is a little trickier than it may appear; I have a boresite but it has no camera; only a light. Don't really want to spend much to sell this. The biggest trouble is the lighting and the fact that the field of focus is only an inch or so.

As mentioned use a light and manually focus using a relatively small aperture (like f11 ).....

My Borescope has light and both still and video capability.
You might ask the True Macro Group about layer stacking that they apply to the DOF challenges they face. Maybe you can adapt some of their processes to your "opportunity.

Backlight it.
Place your light source at one end and shoot from the other.
You can play around with the angle of the light in relation to the barrel to get your preferred result. Also rotate the barrel to get the best lighting on the bore.

Consider the sun as your source.

Been here and done this.

I have sold many firearms over the years and have never once had to photograph the inside of the barrel. Simply telling prospective buyers that the bore is bright, shiny and/or immaculate is all you need for the successful sale.

You may like to try using a half silvered mirror. Use the mirror to reflect a light down the barrel. Take the picture straight down the barrel, through the mirror.

You're absolutely right. However being the anal type, a picture is worth a thousand words and seeing this bright, still new bore is bound to bring big bucks

I've seen others who have been able to get the crown in as well. I'm working on that as I only get one photo to show.
Edit Ah I didn't catch the through the mirror shot the first time through. I'll look into that, thanks.

If you are only allowed one picture I don't think the bore pic is the one to focus on !
A TC barrel is a beautiful thing and the profile of one is immediately recognizable by a potential buyer !
