Look at what I just bought on e-bay, only $240.00 The truck comes Friday. I'll put it thru it's paces this weekend and post results next week
The K-50 is a nice knockabout Pentax (Weather resistant) Have one in my bag! (as a Pentaxian, I might be biased!) Have fun with it!,that's what it was designed for. Fairly rugged for the price point.
Thanks, James. it'll fit nicely as an upgrade from my K-10d.

We Pentaxians are a odd lot.
I recently purchased a K-S to back up my K-3. Again,a entry level with weather resistance and relativly cheap.
Pentax is the "red headed stepchild" in the industry but they have come out with some of the best inovations that are usually copied by the big boys. That goes back to the instant return mirror of the 1960's.
Want to really have some fun ? Consider purchasing some vintage K mount lenses. They make for a smaller package that can be very sharp since they use only the sweet spot of the glass. Manual focus, but some have electronic connectivity that can be used in full ae mode.
Enjoy that K-50............Bob
Thanks, Bob I have a few of the k mount lens and the adapter so they go onto the K-10d and now my k-50. I still have 3 35mm Pentax film cameras. I guess you're right, the Pentax brand is the red headed stepchild brand, but that don't make me love 'em any less.
