I bought an adapter so I could use my Canon lens with my new Sony a6000. It works fine but I can't remove the adapter from the lens. Any ideas? I wanted to use the lens on my Canon and couldn't remove it.

If it's a metal adapter, you might try using a hair dryer on it to warm it up. The expanded metal should loosen its grip on the threads.

Thank you. It isn't metal though. I'm ready to try anything to get it off.

Aren't you supposed to take the lens off the adapter then take the adapter off the camera?

Did you release the catch on the adapter? If that sound derogatory, it's not intended.

No offense taken. I did though. Thanks for the suggestion.

There should be a small release lever or button to unlock the adapter from the lens.

What adapter did you buy?

There's no brand name on it. It wasn't expensive. I guess I got what I paid for. It's a screw on adapter and only has a screw on the side of it which I removed to see if that released it - no luck. It doesn't have a release lever or button. At least I can still use it on the Sony. I'll keep trying.
