A glass of wine
To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine and those who don't and
are always seen with a bottle of water in their hand:
As Ben Franklin said:
In wine there is wisdom,
In beer there is freedom,
In water there is bacteria.
In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated
that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli,
(E. Coli) - bacteria found in feces.
In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop annually.
However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or rum, whiskey
or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process
of boiling, filtering and fermenting.
Remember:
Water = Poop,
Wine = Health
Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid,
than to drink water and be full of Shit .
Had to laugh! :lol: :lol:

Funny, but to be picky, the term "bacterium" was developed after Ben Franklin's life. I prefer the version by W.C. Fields:
"Never drink water. Fish f*** in it, you know."
And of course:
"We almost died of thirst. The only thing we had to drink was water."
my favorite w.c. fields quote when asked by a reporter what he did with all his money: well, i spent 1/2 of it on wild women-parties & booze. the other 1/2 i wasted!

:thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: More ammo for you:- Timothy Book 1, Chapter 5, Verse 23. "Drink no longer water, but drink a little wine for thy stomach's sake, and thine oft infirmities."
Wine (and beer) yeasts are similar to penicillium, so there is a bit of science in this. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :D )

Another W. C. Fields: "Who stole the cork out of my lunch?"

Wine reduces the risk of heart disease, and resveratrol, found mostly in red wine, seems to slow some aging processes. Canadian researchers found a few years ago that there is something in the skin of grapes (think red wine) that inhibits the growth of viruses, so I know when I am getting a cold I have an extra glass of red wine in the evening. Seems to turn it around much faster! (Maybe I just don't care as much! )

It is more effective if you have a glass, or more, every day "just in case". I find it gives ALL bugs cirrhosis - very healthy for you. Cheers! :thumbup: :D

And it only destroys the weaker cells in the brain, thus leaving the healthier, stronger cells unfettered ability to get the work done!
