Just a daisy in my backyard. I shot this one handheld as close as I could get, bracing myself against the garage wall. Not bad.
Pink it is and very sharp. I think it must be a Gerbera daisy.
Thanks, Nikonian. I do check in there occasionally. I enjoy the closeup stuff. To do macro right I'd need to invest n some equipment...better tripod, ring flash etc. I'm not sure what it's called but I'd like one of those tripod heads with the rails.

Most contributing photographers in the Macro Forum hand-hold (no tripod) camera + macro lens+ standard speedlight with inexpensive softbox diffuser. Macro rails and tripod are useful for focus-stacking on a tabletop macro studio, but not in the field. Which speedlight do you own?
