How do I get my metadata to go/show up with my pictures. I email out of LRCC pops into gmail then out, but my info is not going. Anyone with any ideas.
Thanks
Ron

Make sure you have the metadata imbedded in your photograph.

Go straight to gmail. Then click the paperclip (attachment icon), then navigate to your file and attach.

Some sites and services strip the metadata. Putting it under privacy and security heading.

It does not make any difference if it is in there or not. I sent a picture to myself using g mail and this is what I got. The top one when opened in preview on my iMac shows only that it is a 240kb .jpg

sent by G mail

If you use someone other than g mail it must work. I do get metadata from photos on this site if I download to my desktop and open the photo in preview, Lightroom or elements, or the sony, Canon, or Nikon program on my computer.

Gmail works just fine. Just send your image as an attachment without a filter to shrink the size.

Email vs upload? Could that be the difference.

He's most likely trying to send an email through another application or using the Windows "send to" mail recipient feature. This automatically resizes the image and strips the metadata. He needs to first resize the image WITH the metadata, then send as an attachment in Gmail.
