Grabbed a shot at a local National Guard Armory.... I think it's a M-60 but the turret doesn't look quite right.... A little help here?

ajohnston3, nice picture. Can't I.D. this tank, but it does not look like a M-60 to me. Thanks for sharing. Tejaswrangler :)

M48A5 was upgraded to a 105. This looks to be an early version with th 90, probably an A1

Definately an M-48 variant. The front of the M-48 hull was curved transversely and vertically; the M-60 is a flat plane in both directions.

Drove an m60 A1 67'-69' Trained on these at Ft. Knox it is an M48 .....m60 had a 105 with no fire supressorat the end. Also the turret was different on m60

I am thinking M48. The main gun, looks to be a 90mm. I think the M60 went to a 105mm.

Agreed. You can tell the 90mm by the muzzle break--the 105mm on the M60 and late models of the M48 didn't have one. I believe the M67 had a dummy gun so they couldn't be easily distinguished from a gun-armed tank. The flame was fired through the dummy gun. (That's based on a few pictures I've seen of one firing.)

A somewhat disconcerting aside--I think that 90mm was the last American designed conventional tank gun. The 105 was British and I believe the 120 is German.

Not sure neither but an M-60 is also a Machine gun.
